Process Of Elimination - Comp. EP (Touch & Go Records 4) 1981
Was released on the Touch & Go Records label, black vinyl with two inserts…one insert was of photos and the other had the lyrics. All the detroit bands where recorded at some hippies home studio…the artwork was changed at the last minute due to the Jeff Nelson’s (minor threat) original artwork being lost in the mail. Heres the original idea for the cover…
the EP was produced by Corey Rusk bassist for the Necros…id say he shouldnt quit his day job. Stand out would be the Necros track on here, along with the Fix track which is alright…the rest well you be the judge.
Tracklisting
Necros - Bad Dream
Meatmen - Meatmen Stomp
Negative Approach - Lost Cause
Youth Patrol - America’s Power
Toxic Reasons - Riot Squad
Violent Apathy - I Can’t Take It
McDonald’s - Miniature Golf
Fix - No Idols

really good record thank you
the negative approach song is sooooooo good.
the toxic reasons song is great as well. this along with the “unsafe at any speed” 7″ are two of my favs!
Man I can’t believe I missed this one, is it possibl e for someone to put the files back up?
ok, to clear a couple of things up; Cory was either JUST out of high school or just got out, with absolutly NO experience at audio recording, much less trying to capture the sound of Hardcore…hell, most bands were LUCKY to snag a Tascam 4 track tape machine from Radio Shack…and for a kid with NO concept of running or distributing a record label, which he financed with his own earned money from his familys lumberyard.
I remember Cory, and all the guys from the Freezer Theater and Clubhouse days, and for a bunch of kids they really worked hard to get shows promoted, booked and organized; and the Hardcore community of kids these days dont appreciate or respect all the work alot of us did, from flyer distribution to having bands crash out at our places and made comfortable so future touring/ shows would be there.
Alot of great friendships have been forged from the early days of helping out fellow scensters from around the country.
Hi Joe,
Thanks for the information sounds like you pretty much could write a great book on the subject, and yeah I would read it. Thanks again for stopping by the site.
