Alternative TV - Life / Love Lies Limp (Deptford Fun City DFC-05) ‘78

Formed in March 1977 by Mark and Alex. Played there first gig at the Nottingham Punk Festival in May ‘77. Still playing shows and recording, sorry but I really wasnt the biggest ATV fan so i got very little to go on here, but ive always liked this single …check it out.

Thank you! One of the best ATV songs I´ve ever heard. But check out ACTION, TIME AND VISION - that´s a great track, too!

man, i used to love “life” so much. i had a button down dress shirt in 11th grade on which i wrote the lyrics across the front. this was 1984. i’m gonna find that shirt in my mother’s attic tomorrow. thanks for making me think of that thing! i’ll send a photo if i find it.

“Life” is a fantasic song. I fist heard it in 82 on a comp cassette this older punk/mod gave me… o’ the memories…

love lies limp, wot a track! mark perry was the publisher/editor of the infamous sniffing glue fanzine, danny baker was also in the band and is now a bbc tv personality - atv were/are awesome but were never recognized along with the other bands of the era - check out ‘you bastard’ best track they ever did.
