the Fuck Ups…this is the shit, snotty hardcore at its finest. “i think youre shit” great sing along make you feel all warm inside kinda song. Seems to be some dork band calling themselves the f-ups…i know they want to front, but dont be fooled. Turn this one up to 11!

What can I say, 20 years later I still love shit like this. You saved me from having to try to borrow this from a friend to try to get a rip of it, I’m sure he appreciates it (and probably wouldn’t have loaned to to me anyway). Sweet.

only single. Sent shockwaves through MRR when released and were called racist because of the song White Boy. Dunno about that. They were never to do anything with MRR after this single and basically were black balled by the pc brigade in the SF Bay Area.
totally underappreciated classic, never hear this mentioned anywhere. it’s compiled on the one of the Italian Punk Territory CDs. love the backups vocals by the “fuckettes”. great choice.

IMHO I think outside LA, SF Bay Area had the best H/C. That is until the morons at MRR institutionalized punk and made bands like the Fuck Ups and Fang unwelcome. Once Gilman was off the ground really great Hard Core dried up and the new era of PC “Safe for Kids” punk pretty much killed it off. It also didnt help that alot of the old punk bands went glam tho.

There were three releases of this album: pinkish orangish sleeve is the third pressing, white is second and the very first is a totally different photo (not the switchbladed baby, I think it is sections of filmstrip) and is yellow

I used to play with the fuck ups back in 1983-87 when shawn quit.Sorry to inform all of you out there that Bob Noxious has died in his home near santa cruz of liver problems ,just around christmas time.Virgina fuckett,also passed,found slashed up down at an s.f. peir.Wake-momorial show to be at c.lennon studios,S.F.,tba.I was luckey to see bob and the fuckups at spikes momorial with sixteen other bands last august,his last show,which was GREAT!.
Hey Glenn- I used to live with Bob back in 86-88 when we went to New Orleans and back. I was Toby’s “mom” and left to go back to Austin and away from the insanity. Really sad to hear the news…about Bob and Virginia. Just went through a box and ran across a letter Bob had written to me and looked him up online. His letter and the news of his passing bring back a lot of memories…he was an intense person who loved to do things to the fullest…
I am sad and very sorry I gave this away. Incredible and snotty as fuck “punk rock”. I think I gave it away because of the negativity….what a fool. Fucking great.
