Hitler SS / Tampax - Split EP (Compact Cassette Records) ‘78
The birth of punk in Italy. Loud and snotty punk Italian style, this would have to be one of the best singles to ever emerge out of Italy. 1000 copies pressed, some sides play at 45rpm others play at 33, very strange…
Love the liner note on the Tampax side: Recorded from 5:30pm to 5:45pm (30 December 1978) Thats what I call a cheap studio bill.
Tracklisting
Hitler SS
Slave
Naked
Punk Is Dead No Solution
Tampax
Ufo dictator
Tampax (in the cunt)

Excellent! UFO Dictator is in my opinion one of the greatest songs of all time. So much intensity and energy for a song recorded in 78.
Dig those wailin’ guitar parts on the TAMPAX side!!! Such fretboard heroics haven’t been seen since the TAPEWORM 7″. I always drive a bit faster when listening to this in the car.
God Bless Hitler SS & Tampax! Thanx!
Italian punk has its own unique sound. There are still many good bands playing there and a lot of the classic stuff is now available as rereleased material.
Very raw for its early date. These guys put everything into this record. Do they have any other recordings? I seem to have overlooked them and must put this right.
This is Hilter SS only release. Tampax release Police In The Car/Give Me In Your Eye 7″ (1984)
And they seem to have released a few lp’s with assorted recordings from days gone by.
I’ve been wanting to hear the whole thing for a long time. I’d only heard the UFO Dictator track on a KBD album.
Thanks for posting it.
Good tunes put out by The Great Complotto.
Bunches of other good from em. Like The Iced and The Iced!!, Sexy Angels. Itd be neat to get the iced and the iced’s 7″ ep approved by wicked wolves, up!
Are you people deaf?! Guess it goes to show that rarity doesn’t neccesarily equate to greatness. Amateurish & sloppy without the charm - or the tunes - to carry it off. A massive disappointment. At least I got to hear it, I suppose…
the tampax side was the best
Hitler SS released a live LP called Pordenone’s Guys in 1979.
i have this LP, Pordenone’s guy, in LP have 27 songs, and 5 or 6 songs named UNKNOWN, this album is very dirty!!
First off both sides are amazing.
Second, check out VMW, they covered “Slave” by Hitler SS. Their cd was put out by Coalition Records. Covers are usually bad but if you get VMW you’ll love it.
TAMPAX.
BRILLIANT.
wow thanks for this.
downloaded this on a whim and it has become one of my favorites. thank you so much!
there were not many pre-1980s records from Italy for whatever reasons. this along with that MITTAGEISEN 7″ and RANCID-X 7″ are the only ones I can think of.Maybe alot of bands existed then but did not made onto vinyl?
Later HIT´SS stuff was recently made on a legit LP which has its moments and mid-1990s
two TAMPAX albums were released but strongly
weird stuff.
The thing with some of these mentioned bands ,they were singing in english but it sounded like an invented language…
hello
I’m Gianpaolo from Italy
I have in hand one 7″ of Tampax: one side recorded, with a only one track (”O’ Dio”)…
the only words used in the lirics are bad words about God (swearwords)…
No cover… only a blue stamp “Tampax”
and “O’ Dio”….
I never found in the web some infos about…
Someone can help me?
thanx
