Painted Willie - S/T (Spinhead) ‘84

Former members of Sin 34, Painted Willie’s sound was a unique blend of straight ahead rock, adolescent humour and punk energy. This is their first single; it was a cool departure from the hardcore that was prevalent at the time. They went on to release a few albums on SST.

Tracks
Ragged Army
Paper Tiger
Kill It

THANK YOU!!! i heard Jello Biafra play “kill it” on an MRR radio show ages ago, but was never able to track this 45 down-THANKS!!!

btw, they had a 5-track MLP on spinhead about a year later called “My Fellow Americans” & it pretty much blows. self-indulgent “college rock”. its no wonder that SST signed them right after its release. still this 7″ IS GREAT!!!! YEAH!!!!!
