V/A – Nuke Your Dink (Positive Force) 1984

Here’s my first post. I hope I did it right because it sure was confusing! First release on 7 Seconds’ Positive Force Records. I remember this being sought after by people in the late 80’s to early 90’s. Saw it on a lot of want lists. A few I have played this for have changed their minds on trying to get it because of it’s low quality recording. The Remains track is amazing. I beleive this is their only recorded output. Was worth the price of purchase for that track alone.

Tracks
7 Seconds – In Your Face
Subterfuge – Legal Who?
No Deal – Government Warning
Urban Assault – High Fiend
Jackshit – Foreign Aid
The Remains – Lost in a Crowd
The Expelled – Slam the Pigs
The Yobs – Armageddon

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD comp 7″ EP (Bater Records, BR-22) 1994

Somewhat obscure (limited to 500) comp 7″ from Japan, released in the mid-90’s. The bands are also pretty obscure to most people; as far as I know only Poison Cola had another record out (a split 7″ with Blood Feast). Regardless of the popularity of the bands, they all play the classic ripping Japcore style that we know and love. Check it out!

Tracks
Grasp – D.P.F.Y.M
Poison Cola – Answer
Knuckle – Looking For Glory
Scum Blast – Gurow

Theres A Method To Our Madness Comp. (Phantom Records test pressing) 1986

Here we have a great mid 80’s comp from the Phantom Records guy Wally outta South Carolina/Alaska, anyone know what happened to this guy? This rip is form the test press that has been beaten up throughout the years by me, so sorry for some of the pops. Also you wont find the PTL Klubs track featured on this site due to legal action that could/would be inflicted onto me. This comp is a real good indication of the times, totally dated material that would only fit right into the mid 80’s, those where the days. Some of the worst music came out during that period of punk/hardcore/skatecore/metalcore/crossover/thrash/hightops and bermuda shorts. But most of us survived it, so for now put on your old hightops/bermuda shorts and peel the lid back on your cap and dip into some of the lost punk/hardcore/skatecore/metalcore/crossover/thrash of that era.

The cover art was done by RK Sloane who passed away Oct. 20 2006.

Tracks
Ludichrist – God is Everywhere
PTL KLUB – Want to Die
Legion Of Doom – Blind Faith
Sacred Denial – Disband
Sloppy Seconds – Jerry’s Kids

The Burnt – Midland Park Police
Vatican Commandos – Let Down Again
Life Sentence – Punks for Profit
Disorderly Conduct – Rock Bottom

Child Abuse – Bring It (Mutha Records) 1983

Any additional info is appreciated, this is all I can find on the band: From New Jersey, Child Abuse released this EP in 1983 on Mutha Records, who also released The Worst, Chronic Sick and Fatal Rage. It’s a slice of raw, under produced hardcore with varied tempos, flurries of thrash and a vocalist full of spit and vinegar. A good example of the type of unknown bands that filled the ranks of small regional scenes in the eighties. A rare find and thanks to Collector Scum for the cover scan.

Brent Liles Dead at 43

PLACENTIA – Officials on Saturday identified Brent Liles of Fullerton, former bass guitarist in one of the region’s most influential punk rock bands, Social Distortion, as the bicyclist killed by a big rig on Thursday. Liles played bass on the group’s groundbreaking “Mommy’s Little Monster” recording in 1983 and went on to play with other well-known Orange County punk acts such as the group Agent Orange. He was 43.
“Brent was a fun-loving guy who approached his bass playing with a lot of enthusiasm and that made him a lot of fun to be around,” said Frank Agnew, a fellow musician and friend. Liles, wearing casual clothing, was riding a small dirt bicycle westbound on Orangethorpe Avenue just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday, California Highway Patrol officials said. As he entered the crosswalk at the Orange (57) Freeway, a big rig carrying a trailer turned right onto the on-ramp and accelerated, hitting Liles. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Big bucks to cum…

Bad Brains – Pay To Cum original pressing just went for $1,455.00 US/ $1,707.73 CDN/ 737.724 GBP/ 1,914.05 TND/ 1,816.74 CHF no matter what part of the world youre from thats alot of cash for a 7inch slab of wax. I find it hard shelling out 30 bucks for a used single, whats the most you would shell out for a single? In the meantime, go listen to the Pay To Cum single for free here.

The Damned – Smash It Up / The Burglar (Big Beat) 1979

Ok the Damned are one of those bands that I can not sit through a whole album. I like just very few select tracks from this band. Tracks including Smash it Up, Neat Neat Neat, Noise Noise Noise, and if the mood stricks me right maybe a couple more. I believe this is a 82 reissue/repress but not to sure, I also owned this single on red wax. But anyhow…
