Lyric sheet, which I lost. Two pressings exist, one with a black & one with a red cover, black being the first pressing. Again one of the first NYHC bands to exsist…the one thing I have always loved about this single is the sound of the hi-hats, awesome!

this ep can be found on thier semi-discography cd “no rules in this game” on some nyhc label, what i cant find is the “step forward” ep released a year later. some real classics on this thing though, Dr butcher, 101, common criminal - just killer. they make an appearance on the awesome ny comp - big apple rotten to the core vol 1.
Is it possible for you to put the other 7″?
Great record, one of my favs.
used to see jack from the mob waiting for the bus to go to skool in douglaston queens!!!!!!
101 was about the place we used to score pot
Anyone have the Step Forward EP???
I remember once a x-friend of mine’s alcohaolic cokehead fratfuk brother was arested for beating the piss outta someone and charged with mob action. One time this basterd was all loaded and told the story about how he kicked some guy in the fucking face before the cops beat the shit out fo him and threw his ass in the criuser. Listening to music of this great quality and caliber reminds me of the anger that I felt sitting there listening to this mutherfucker tell his tale of ignorance. Its good know music exists people that are truly distubed by this world can confid in. Thanks.
Yeeeeeehhhhaaaaaarrrrgggggghhhhhh!
Haaa “true” NYHC, not all this crap you can hear since many years and labelled with the same name, them and Urban Waste (and Even Worse, Misguided, etc etc…) were (and still are) obligatory records to listen to when talking about Nen York punk, pure rage ! Loud fast rules !!
The Mob were the shit and still are! They rocked everywhere they played. The lead singer Ralph was intense and Jack’s guitar roared.
“I go to one oh one oh one oh one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
This is true 80’s Queens teenage angst turned into a positive vibe by way of NYHC. Bands like The Mob, Heart Attack, Misguided and Reagan Youth laid the foundation for the scene.
Damn I love this 7″,
When people mention old school New York hardcore they tend to overlook this band,
They released this the same year as Urban Waste but this 7″ sounds like it was released in 86,
It pre-dates Antidote & Agnostic Front & has all the best elements of those bands.
If you ask me I think Roger Miret blatantly stole Raplph Gebbia vocal style, everyone thinks Mirets vocals are so unique haven’t they ever heard this record.
The mosh breakdowns, the back up choruses etc,
This record is so far ahead its time that its like a sick joke,
it makes my head burn when I constantly read about people jacking off all these NYCHC bands that probably got more influence from this band than any other New York band!
Agnostic Front, Cause For Alarm, Antidote & Warzone all sound like they were obsessed with this band!
muy bueno el blog compañeros
