Bad Brains - Pay To Cum original pressing just went for $1,455.00 US/ $1,707.73 CDN/ 737.724 GBP/ 1,914.05 TND/ 1,816.74 CHF no matter what part of the world youre from thats alot of cash for a 7inch slab of wax. I find it hard shelling out 30 bucks for a used single, whats the most you would shell out for a single? In the meantime, go listen to the Pay To Cum single for free here.

$20 is kind of my limit but I have gone to $30. I don’t do it very often. Try to stay focused on the current stuff.

I think the most I’ve paid is about $130. Over $20 is a rarity for me these days though.

Yeah, pretty crazy what a bidding war will do…I got caught up in one and layed down $113. With the rest of you now, $20 to $30 seems to be the top end for something I would really like.

Most I spent was £150 for the Dutch copy of the Damned’s - Love Song. It comes with a unique picture sleeve unique to Holland only. Can’t see me spending that much again on any record!

However much I could afford at the time without eating into my drinking money, I’ve spent over $700 on one. There are still a couple I’d go massive on.
Never seen the Bad Brains go for more than $850 in the past, I remember when you could pick that up for $60….. and I did.

Meant to say, for years I only had a rough copy of this on a tape somebody sent me and having never heard a proper copy of it I was sure for years it had been played at the wrong speed.
Probably still the single most impressive piece of punk rock I’ve ever heard. What can you say about it? How did they do that, at that time, as a first single, with that sort of precision?

Right now the Chronic Sick Ep is on Ebay for over $500 buy now……….you know if you want it that bad, fine. But hell it probablly sold for 2 or 3 bucks when it came out. If someone wants something that much, me included, they will pay but it seems totally opposite of the whole original intent. Thanks to all who share these rarities on sites like this. Thumbs up everyone for turning me onto to stuff I overlooked or traded away years ago.

i shelled out $35 for SSD “get it away”.
i don’t think i’d ever pay more than a $100 for ANY given record.

Back in the day I paid $100 for the Siouxsie Headcut 7″ fan club only single. I dont pay over $100 for a record now days, but damn it would have to be a total killer keeper record.

$40 for the German Shepherds single, but now i think even THAT’s too much. i love records like the rest of us, but nothing needs to be added to “$1400 for a record?!” to make it retarded. that’s what the Killed By Death series was started for, kids, remember? fuck the BAD BRAINS! pay yer fuckin’ bills, dummy!

This brings back a horrible memory: Yao Boma (sp?), former roadie for Bad Brains, gave my girlfriend one of these- yes, the original 7″ disk in the picture sleeve, and I barrowed it, and LEFT IT ON THE SUBWAY in DC. I tried to replace it, and called Bleeker Bob’s in NYC. The said, “we don’t have it, and you know why? It’s worth like $300!” More now, I guess…ouch. Sorry CP!

whoregasm, you probably have the bootleg. The original for “Get it Away” is worth over $100 but there are bootlegs of it going around for about the price that you said. I hear it’s hard to tell the original apart too.
