V/A - Nuke Your Dink (Positive Force) 1984

Here’s my first post. I hope I did it right because it sure was confusing! First release on 7 Seconds’ Positive Force Records. I remember this being sought after by people in the late 80’s to early 90’s. Saw it on a lot of want lists. A few I have played this for have changed their minds on trying to get it because of it’s low quality recording. The Remains track is amazing. I beleive this is their only recorded output. Was worth the price of purchase for that track alone.

Tracks
7 Seconds - In Your Face
Subterfuge - Legal Who?
No Deal - Government Warning
Urban Assault - High Fiend
Jackshit - Foreign Aid
The Remains - Lost in a Crowd
The Expelled - Slam the Pigs
The Yobs - Armageddon

Cool post DOTD, I am a sucker for these “local” classics. Definately has a demo feel to it but adds to the whole vibe. THANKS, I had never heard many of these bands.

GAWD!!! I haven’t thought about/heard this since the 80’s. I mail ordered it from toxic shock, raunch or some other early distro from the back of MRR. I think I still have a copy of it. No DEAL and JACKSHIT were always my faves, even though I ordered it for the (shitty) 7SECONDS. This may have been the REMAINS only vinyl output, but didn’t the members go on to another noteworthy band??? Maybe not if I can’t even remember…….

Anyway, thanks for the memories. Great first post, keep em’ coming………………

Thanks for posting this, I have been meaning to hear it for some time. This is my first exposure to the Remains, I really liked the style of the track. I was also really glad to hear more stuff from Subterfuge, I also thought this track was really something…

It say on the back cover that they were both from Las Vegas.
