Dub Rifles - Notown (Self Released) 1982

Winnipeg had a good mix of bands in the early 80’s, although I do prefer the more hardcore sound, Ska is up in the top 3. Self released by the band and recorded locally. Great Canadian Ska, so if ya like the horns this ones for you. Check out this little interview of Colin here.

This is very cool. One track is not available, however (error pop-up). “Number One”.

Cheers!

Does this band bring back memories! I knew Clint back in around 1984, just after the band broke up. He was an awesome bass player and we jammed a few times at a where house I had across from the PSB in Winnipeg. I wonder sometimes what ever happened to Clint as it’s been over twenty years since I seen him last. If you read this Clint, hello old friend!

Thanks so much. my 45’s went “missing”.
This was some heavy groove punk I cut my first teeth on.

This and their live tracks go perfect with The Offs records. Both incredibly unique punk rock with ska and funk influence. This EP blew me away on first listen.

Great to hear you liked it…I have always enjoy this single. Saw them live at a local community club 27yrs ago and it still stands out in my mind.
