if you check the info. on each mp3 you should see the year that the song was released. these killed by 7 inch singles where made in the 90’s.

Great songs.
What is the source of the electric hum on most of the tracks? Is it the system the records were digitized on or is it from the records themselves?
Thanks.

Great selection (as always in this blog!) - I have quite a few of these releases: takes me back to my reckless youth!

A couple of funny related things:
Dangerous Girls were a local band - I saw them live a few times and had some jam sessions with Rob in the late 80’s…

The Intestines single is great (in a sloppy, amateurish way). I started a group (Napalm Death) in 1981 and the track ‘New Recruit’ by The Intestines was the third song we played (after 2 of our own). It’s also the only cover version I have ever done in a band!

Keep up the good work - spread the music to those who didn’t get a chance to hear it…

Are these available anywhere to buy? I have the KBD 12″, Bloodstains etc but have never seen 7″s for sale.

these all where released in the early 90’s through redrum records and very limited pressings 300 to 400 each. so good luck finding them now, maybe try ebay.

nice to actually hear these records. id never actually seen copies of these anywhere at anytime.

funny thing is, these are solid records by themselves & all 5 hold up together,as a cohesive unit; whereas any random KBD LP is actually pretty weak & doesnt have more than about 3-5 good tracks on any given one (except the few that contain complete records; ie- #77). i guess thats why i prefer the BLOODSTAINS editions/tradition of compiling 7 or 8 COMPLETE 45’s/ep’s on one LP.

one would guess that these got crappy reviews from KBD/77-type ‘elitists’ who think that anything faster than a mid-paced rock beat is somehow “corporate speed metal” & anything released after 1980~81 is completely irrelevant.

These 7″s were released in Germany by an old friend of mine in the second half of the 90s. They have nothing to do with the “original” Redrum Records (the first 4 issues of KBD). thought you might be interested to know.
Great stuff though and thick fucking vinyl!

I’ve been looking for an available album by Electricni Orgazam ever since hearing them this spring in Serbia. If you like them you should check out Kud Idijoti as well.

Hey TOTP! You remember when Plain Wrap opened for Exploited at Perkins Palace in ‘84? That was a killer gig!

Hey Michael, I remember the Exploited there…can’t recall Plain Wrap. Remember Plain Wrap at the Cathay. The best Perkins gig was…Scream, Bad Brains, The Freeze..remember that???

Nope! Don’t remember when the Bad Brains played at Perkins. What year was that? I remember when Bad Brains played at the Whiskey in ‘82 for an ounce of weed and when they played at the Civic in ‘85 and at Fenders in ‘86.

Didn’t the Bad Brains also play the Ukranian Cultural Center in `83? Or was it `82?

Yeah, the Bad Brains did play at Ukranian but I didn’t make it to that one.

My first Perkins gig was Discharge, Suicidal Tendencies, and Battalion of Saints. I caught that gig a week after Discharge played at the Olympic. After that, I was always going to the Perkins in ‘84 after seeing the UK bands play at the Olympic. It became a habit cuz it was all about seeing the bands who played with the Brits. The most memorable gig at Perkins was with Suicidals, Toy Dolls, and Big Boys cuz that someone jumped head first off the amp and cracked his head open.

The only bands I actually remember at Perkins were the Freeze, Bad brains, Scream, Dickies, Stiff Little Fingers…my wife remembers Discharge and Bats…fuck I wish I could turn back time and remember all the gigs. Oh well. I saw New Order in 1981…yuck

(Vis) Idoli (Idols) song was taken from “Paket Aranzman” compilation lp of Belgrade punk/new wave bands from 1980. Elektricni Orgazam (Electric Orgasm) song is from their first LP “Elektricni Orgazam” from 1981.Same song was on “Svi Mars Na Ples” comp. LP.
Glad to see something else on this blog but boring privileged Japanese fashion no-clue-about-shit-they-are singing-about bands.

How is it possible to find Dangerous Girls self title track? I am amazed it was not a more popular track.

I know it’s gone some time since your post but I was wondering if you knew how much the breakouts released all in all. Having a hard time finding anything but “trouble”, which is a great song.
