I’ve been told the band changed their name to TWO MOON’S RISING just before the release of this EP, but the covers were already printed… There’s a small sticker on the back sleeve that says “Text och musik TWO MOON’S RISING”.

I’m relatively new to collecting compared to alot of dudes on here so my copy of this is probably the crown jewel of my record collection. I’m 99% sure this band features Jan Jutila who does Your Own Jailer Records and is responsible for the term “D-Takt” as well as playing in some other bands. I think they may have had one other track on a compilation but that’s about it. Both the modern metallic Swedish hardcore scene of today and UK crustcore bands like Doom and Extreme Noise Terror owe alot to these guys. The bottom of my studded vest reads “Bombanfall”, so you know I love ‘em. Great post!

This band met in a Drug rehab center for heroin and cocaine. The Singer and bass player were Punks, and the guitarist and drummer were black metal guys. They played around 15-20 shows before changing their name to “Two Moons Rising”. Most of the shows they played were with Anti Cimex and Svart Sno. After this name change they apparently went for a more mainlined Black Metal sound instead of fusing the 2. This information was given to me by a guy who saw Bombanfall 4 times, and also auditioned as their drummer. Unfortunatley I am unable to give his contact information since he as he put it “Hates punks”. I will remember more, and ask him permission to post photos of them.

this is the best fuckin record ive heard in a while

Been a long time since I cracked this bastard open. I bought this when it came out, insanely aggressive vocals for the time up there with Sakevi of G.I.S.M, but the sticker info is correct as to why some folks call the band TWO MOONS RISING (Which is actually a far superior name In my opinion).

On the other hand, ENT etc were NOT influenced by this at all, as they pre-date them by a good few years. DOOM maybe, as I recorded this 7″ and a bunch of other Swedish HC for the singer of Doom back in 87 as they only ever really knew about Anti Cimex from Sweden when they started (As a thrash metal band with the drummer of Napalm Death behind the kit).

This is the best Swedish crust 7″ ever released. I bought it a couple of years ago for $60. May be expensive, but it’s worth every cent! Check out Disfear’s cover of “Hälsning från Helvetet” on the Powerload 7″.

hehe, i bought this record from Chris Dodge back in 99 before he started selling records on ebay I guess, paid $4 for it.
Needless to say its one of my best buys. Didn´t get the insert though, so if someone could get me a xerox of it it
would rule!

Jan Jutila was NOT in Bombanfall. The band was made up from a zinemaker and 3 studentdorm mates of him. According to J he was the one who got them into crust by brainwashing them with the WHY 12″.

Tallen is correct! From what Felix Havoc told me, the 3 roommates were into reggae, I think. I can’t remember exactly. I do know this though, what Kaaos82/Levi posted is absolute grade A bullshit. Levi is a rip off piece of shit and should not be trusted for ANYTHING! Also, they only played ONE show, that’s it.

Our name was Two Moons Rising( taken from the native american chief who fought the oppressors and general Custer in little big horn.)
I´ve got some unplayed 7″ left from that time for those wanting to blow up e-bay paranoia ripoff prices like 105 us dollars for a used 7″ with us…what a bunch of bullshit! Punk and e-bay….NOT a combination!

Ah sorry for the misinformation. Most of that info was told to me by the drummer of Sunday Morning Einsteins. I guess the photo I have is a hoax. Sorry for that everyone. The drummer of SME(also in Svart Sno) told me hed seen Bombanfall 4-5+ times. Its possible he thought I was discussing another band, although I was wearing a Bombanfall shirt when talking to him about it. Again sorry for fucking up the info!

This is a sick album, one thing i realized by reading different comments left by people is that everyone is so fucking mean to each other, why is that.

The Bombanfall / Two Moons Rising’s ep is a real gem.I remember hearing this for the first time and being blown away. Definitely a pre-cursor for swedish death metal. One of the best eps in my collection. Thanks Herman!! Happy Holidays.

From the copies of this EP I’ve had/have the copies without the “TWO MOONS RISING” sticker on the back did not come with the Red insert. Also, on the insert I’m questioning whether this was Self Released or put out by “Bee Three Records” The band’s name was BOMBANFALL but changed it after the sleeves were made hence the TWO MOONS RISING sticker on the back of the sleeve.
