Wretched/Indigesti: Split 7″ (Disco Autoprodotto) ‘82

Heres what Jeff Bale, from MRR had to say about this one…. More hot Italian thrash on a D.I.Y. EP. Indigesti are fast, tight, and powerful. They’ve got one slow-fast number with HM guitar parts (”Mai”) amid the thrashers, and a good snotty vocalist. The Wretched are faster, sloppier, right out the garage, production-wise. The Red Brigades could have made Gen. Dozier’s ears bleed with music by these two bands.

Tracks
WRETCHED
Schiavo del sistema
Promesse
Fino in Fondo
Se ne Fregano
Il Loro Stato
USA La Tua Rabbia

INDEGESTI
No Al Sistema
Crea Veleno
Mai
Polvere Fastidiosa
Mass Media
Detesta

ESSENTIAL listening for fans of Italian h.c.. Although these bands weren’t the first in Italy,
they became some of the most well known. The WRETCHED side burns with anger and passion. Knowing how to play didn’t stand in the way of these guys discontent. ultra raw and cool !!!!!
INDIGESTI side is another rager and my favorite stuff from them. Powerful and fast, DETESTA indeed!!!!

Both of these bands recorded output is redily available.

Rudy, singer of INDIGESTI has a label thats re-released all their stuff:vacationhouserecords.com

The WRETCHED stuff is available through various
sources. antichrist/dionysus released a discography cd a couple years ago and eu91 sebian leauge released some later stuff on cd.

But w/all Italian bands, BEWARE of anything released after ‘84-’86 from these guys…….

Classic examples of early 80’s Italian punk, both in music and political expression. At the time Wretched and CCM were two of the few Italian bands whose records I could get hold of easily in England. It’s great to see the many resissues even if they are on CD.

This shit totally rips. I’d first heard Idigesti’s “Mai” on one of the killed by hardcore comps and it blew me away. I can’t stop listening to these songs…

gotta say, tho i’m sure i will be protested for this, that i prefer the Italian stuff to the Japanese stuff from this period…this record in particular. unmatched fury. first heard this on MRR after INDIGESTI reformed back in ‘85 & did an interview. thanx Wedge for copying this for me way back.

Man i think i just shit my pants, this rips.

once again I have loved Italian punk for years and this is damn hard to come by. I was lucky to get The Indigesti LP used at some store in Eureka Ca that obviously didn’t know who the band was. It was $3.00 on TVOR!!

Thanks for postin’ this.

that’s a nice score, but listen to this, i was at off the record in encinitas just before it closed down and i saw the indigesti/wretched ep up high on the wall with a whopping price tag of 20.00
i was thinking to myself why in the world is it just twenty dollars, my knees were shakin like i was gonna steal it, i asked the employee to bring it down for me, while he was briniging it down i was thinking to myself, is it gonna be something respectably in clean condition or something that was used as a frisbie, so i started checking it out and to my surprise it appeared to be basically unplayed
the sleeve and 3 inserts were also present,as im paying im thinking, wow…what a deal, a franklin for one of the most important records in punk rock history. the employee didn’t even charge me tax as they were in folding mode. i saw this ep on ebay recently sell for 900usd amazing this is better than stock markets.
