Heresy - Thanks 7″ EP (Ltd. Edition Records Germany, UK band) ‘87

Heresy was one of the most established of the UK’s third wave (mid-late ’80s) of punk bands. This is their second EP and arguably there best as it is one of the few Heresy records not to suffer from poor production. There are two minor sleeve variations (three including the test pressing sleeve) so I have included scans of both the normal variations.

No alternative rock masquerading as KBD here.. this is crushing hardcore right from the first bassline.

KFTH has an excellent page on the band. Also, UK collector resource Scumville has a lot of info. Pressing details are here. Boss Tuneage has some of the back catalogue in print.

What to say? FACE UP TO IT!!!!
They were great, maybe the most representative band of the UK “third wave” you’ve mentioned (my fave, no doubt).
Speed spirit remains.
Thanks Zouo, specially for the additional info. Gotta check the sites!
Cheers from S. Paulo/Brazil.

so goddam good, it hurts………….

Heresy are one of my all-time faves. I say, the pinnacle of fast music without being ridiculous.
Not one bad release(well, maybe they don’t all sound great) and recent discographies are worth every penny to those don’t own the original records.

Props to ZOUO, awesome post !!!!!

oeff…the fastest UK band from 85-89 hardcore era. I remember times, when I used to walk the night city listening HERESY in my walkman. Their ULTRA fast sonic torment indicated that I wasn´t willing to go home until tape went to the end…sweet :-)
