V/A-NA ELLER ALDRI Compilation ep (X-port Plater 003) ‘84
Norway wasn’t particularlly known for punk or hardcore (to the average h.c. fan, anyway), but when you dig a little deeper , you find that they more than made for quanity with QUALITY.
The NA ELLER ALDRI compilation showcased some of the best 2nd wave hardcore bands that country had to offer. Along with the earlier ” INGENTING FOR NORGE” comp lp (featuring Allahrm, Terror, Norrrske Budeier, and FADER WAR ) and “JA VI ELSKER DETT LANDIT…? casstette comp, these were crucial in introducing these bands to the rest of the world.
For a better overview of the MANY great bands from Norway, check out this and this and for some great re-issues on an original Norwegian cassette label, check here.
Tracks
BANNLYST-Terrorstyre
PSYKISK TERROR-Uskyldige barn
KAFKA PROCESS-Hun lever ikke lenger
SISTE DAGERS HELVETE-Hvorfor

AKUTT INLEGGELSE-Hagen jugend

bannlyst surely bites off your head!! would be nice if their 7″ and other released stuff would be put up too…an absolute asskicker!!
Ahh,nice comp reads like a who’s who of the scene in Norway back in the day, thats the way comps should be.I remember my mates band State Hate, did a tour over there with I think Angor Wat and Kafka Process, they were blown away by the scene.
hey slambrigade, I’ve taken the liberty to upload the BANNLYST and SVART FRAMTID 7″s, hopefully they’ll be posted soon……………
yer right john, if all comps could be this solid……., although most early foreign h.c. I discovered was from comps like this one and was so great and influential to me.
ps: click on the words FADER WAR in this post for a link to those “ingenting fo norge” comp tracks, they freakin’ rule !!!!!
Check out the other releases by X-Port Plater. Almost every great Norwegian band seems to be on this label. They must have looked after the bands and the bands stayed loyal too.
Crap! I had a copy of this ep on tape (taped it off a hc radio show in ‘85). as soon as I heard the tunes, it took me back 20 years… I love this comp!! funny how I can remember the various parts of the songs and the vocals like I heard it yesterday. thanks surly! PS. fader war kicks my ass! ok, i’m convinced that old HC rules.
nice comp. totally kicks a nugget out one’s face.
solid. busy listening to the Psykisk terror track. awesome.
I anxiously await that Bannlyst 7″!!
nice post as always.
Fader War are great and new to me,top gear, cheers s.o.p.
For X-port plater discography look here; http://nxp-label.blogspot.com/2004/09/x-port-records.html Sorry only on Norwegian but it should be understandable, i think.

Great posts!!!!! I’m looking forward to Svart Framtid and Bannlyst. Have you got the Process/Stengte Dører split EP and the Søt Hævn 7″? I think it’s named “Asfaltparasitta”. It would be fantastic if they were uploaded here. Have been searching for them a long time now……..
ive got the Process / Stengte Dorer split, but i have no idea what the other ep you ask is…ill post it & some more in the next week.
THANKS s.o.p.!!! ive had this ep for years, but my copy was rescued from a 25-cent bin & has some real nasty heat warps that make the Siste Dagers Helvete track skip, and the rest play pretty noisy-THANKS!!!!!
Søt hevns 7″ is called Asfaltparasitta. They was from Tromsø and have only released this EP.
