BLAZE - But Nothing Ever Change 7″ (sakuragi 01) ‘92
BLAZE :talking about an appropriate name. Shit, whether you’re into their music or not, you’ve gotta admit they certainly BLAZE! Okay, my technical skills as a musician don’t go any further then some basic knowledge regarding the ‘flying V air guitar’ but hell, you don’t have to be a virtuoso to fully appreciate the killdozer energy these guys produced (just listen to those drums…).
Keep your eyes open for anything else they released (not that much I’m afraid..I sincerely hope I’m dead wrong about this).
This 7″ tends to be quite rare these days but it should be (really) easy to find yourself a “damn the control” comp. 7″ (released in ‘97, has 1 BLAZE track + features CHAOS CHANNEL, CONCLUDE & more).
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as well : the ‘fight back vol. 1′ comp. cd (on the superb ‘fight men record label, 1993). BLAZE appears with 2 tracks here but the fun doesn’t end yet (GUILLOTINE TERROR , DISORDER, BUG-EYED, ZONE, etc…a must have comp.!!)

blaze also had 1 track on the abikyokan comp. great post!
Of course Dave…I have it myself, must’ve slipped my mind. A good reminder too ’cause I’d like to post 2 other bands which appear on this particular comp. (ACCOMPLICE & GESHPENST). Will do so very soon…
Thanks for setting this straight!
p.s.: for those who’re also interested in (demo) tapes, like myself : you’ll definitely want the “abikyokan tour tape” (featuring GESHPENST, ACCOMPLICE, D.S.B. & RAWNECK). Killer line-up!d
cant wait to see it up
Superb stuff and thanx for posting,to my ears they remind me of Rocky and the Sweden,a band i listen to nearly everyday.Any conections? If not anyone know what bands came before Rocky?
Hi John,
thanks for your comment.
As for Rocky & The Sweden :
don’t know for the rest of the band but their bass player used to play in THE SWEATS which you might know from the “go ahead make my day -
Smashing Odds Ness 2″ comp.lp (great stuff!) or the SWEATS lp : ‘open the sky to the wisdom’ (vertigo, ‘93). While I really liked the SWEATS performance on the “go ahead…” I disliked the “open the sky…” to say the least (personnal point of view of course),
cheers
