Janky - Flexi 7″ ‘86
My first post! I hope I didn’t fuck up! This is one of those 7″s I worship but sadly I know very little about the band. By posting this not only will people find out about the band but hopefully I will be able to learn something new about them. This excellent release reminds me much of Lip Cream and Outo records; perhaps some band that would fit right in with the Thrash Til Death compilation. Oh yea, I guess they have a split with the mighty Mad Conflux, but I haven’t heard that one yet.
Tracks
Low Life
Extinguisher
Revolution Neurosis
Dead Society
Police State
No Control
Hypocrite
St. Aggression
Jesus Christ No True

Great first post condensed_flesh,i know nothing about Janky, but that record is as they sweet!
Great record. This is the 3rd release on Hold Up and I think from ‘84,not ‘86.The split 7″ with Mad Conflux is also great but this one is better.
nice!!! they definitely have a strong US influence, yet still very japaneezy (haha). not too much treble/highs, and strong vocal production. i really like these guys, cool. judging by this ep alone, sonic-wise they deserve to be classified as one of the best 80’s japanese hc bands imho.
Great, but Hypocrite and No Control are the exact same song.
one of the only HOLD-UP records i dont have. nice to finally hear it!! its much better than the split w/Mad Conflux; which i feel is a very lame record on both bands behalf cos both bands had GREAT stuff elsewhere over the years…
GREAT RECORD, IT’S ALWAYS GOOD TO LEARN ABOUT MORE BANDS.
HEY condensed_flesh, IS THERE ANY CHANCE THAT MISTAKE ABOUT “HYPOCRITE” and “NO CONTROL” CAN BE FIXED?
I’D LIKE TO LISTEN THE WHOLE SINGLE.
