RIPCORD FLEXI FRONT

RIPCORD-The Damage Is Done flexi (Raging records) 1986

BY REQUEST!!!

Some of the BEST mid 80’s U.K. hardcore. This was their first release on vinyl (flexi) after 2 rough and raging demo tapes. They went on to refine their attack (and learned to play), change a few members and release several other records. There are far more eloquently written histories and discographies than I could possibly provide, HERE and HERE.

I’ve also included a superior version of “single ticket to hell” from the DIGGING IN WATER compilation LP (on COR/Manic Ears records) that’s SO RAW, it’ll loosen yer teeth and make yer head hurt……………

Tracks
Furder
Empty faces
Armchair critic
Thatchula
Eve of the end
Single ticket to hell
State of emergency
Kiss of death
Lies lies lies

From the ” Digging in water” comp lp
Single ticket to hell (version 2)

This is one of my favorite bands, I have the flexi but didn’t know the existance of the digging in water comp. Great stuff, thanks for the post.

This brings back great memories.I was lucky to see them live, standing at the front screaming along FUR IS MURDEAARGHH!!!!Time goes by too fast(sigh).
By the way,the flexi tracks have been added on the Defiance Of Power LP reissue.

this, my friend, in my humble opinion, is the most pissed-off UKHC record ever, along with Heresy’s “Never Healed” flexi.
thanks for posting it.

i havent had a copy of this flexi for AGES!!!THANKS!!! i got exposed to this band from the comp track you have posted…whata killer!! theres also an official live video that MCR company released years ago…theyre playing GREAT on it, but the crowd indifference kinda kills the energy level. still, this band was once great & their early stuff is still top notch!!

Dude I remember this one. I had it. Getting this one back in the day was like getting the Heresy flexi, rare even when it came out. Thanks Duder!

Aaah Ripcord, this band changed all my views on hardcore, just the kind of stuff i allways wanted to hear and play… weirdly i discovered them before Heresy, btw both bands later stuff can easily be confused. Anyway all their early releases are essential hardcore records.
