JUDGEMENT - No Reason Why (HG-Fact hg-071) ‘96
Blistering, modern Japanese hardcore. I would’nt describe this as “burning spirits” as much as I would call it a NUTS ON FIRE rager. This is practically lengendary before the needle drops because the band consists of 1/2 of BASTARD, Nori from CRUCK and the drummer from DEATH SIDE. Lucky for you when the stylus DOES hit vinyl, you’re treated to a few minutes of absolutely devastasting J-core.
This was their 1st. 7″. There were four 7′’s and a cd-ep released by these guys and went on to include such Japanese hardcore luminaries such as Tokurow from BASTARD and Jha-Jha from the mighty LIP CREAM (usually the singer being the only line-up change). Not sure what they are up to these days but, all their releases (if you can find em’) are strongly recommended.

This records rages!! Thanx for posting it. This band is one of my all-times faves!!!
I think my favorite release by them is their 3rd EP, the one titled “Haunt in the dark”. Their MCD is kinda weak compared to their other records, but it’s still a great listen!

This is actually their 2nd EP. Their 1st EP, entitled “Process” was a gig only record, thus explaining its crazy rare status today.

Actually, chaosnonmusica, if you check the HG fact website, “no reason why” 7″ was released 12/25/96 and the “process” 7″ was released just 18 days later on 1/12/97. Wacky also cuz the “process”7″ is HGfact#70 and this 7″ is HGfact#71. I always assumed the same as you untilI read about these in the HGfact discography page. weird huh?? but unless those HGfact dudes are burning too much cheeba, I believe em’.

well, the actual release date confusion is that the “Process” 7″ has a catalog # which is PREVIOUS to “Haunt In The Dark”; regardless as to how/when they were actually available…from my experience, i got the “No Reason Why” about 2 weeks after it was actually released, and it took almost 1 year of gigs for anybody in Japan was able to secure a copy of “process” & get one my way…that because it WAS NEVER AVAILABLE as a standard release-it was ONLY available at their live shows & they were VERY strict about people only buying 1 copy at a time…they actually had a USA tour in the works before they started to imnplode, which would have made this other 45 available to us over here…then there were MASSIVE problems(that i will NOT mention)& semi-regular line-up changes…last i heard, Zigyaku COMPLETELY gave up on the scene & gave all his guitars+amps away(his Marshall JCM stack went to Souichi/FORWARD & INSANE YOUTH) & just plays pachinko & doesnt care about anything anymore…its all such a shame…this band RULED!!!
