Expatriate - No Sleep Til Chugwater (Mosh Records) 1987
Seems the original tracks were lost in cyberspace, so due to some requests I’ve put this up again.
Easily one of the top hardcore bands from Colorado. After the break up of the unsung “Reagan Era” combo, Ante Bellum, Dennis and Patrick formed Expatriate. Killer metal-thrash-core hybrid with blistering guitar, heavy beats and some vicious drumming. Expatriate played up and down the front range of Colorado and ventured off into neighboring South Dakota and Wyoming.
Tracks
Megadeth Sells
Sometimes Love Is Fucking Stupid
Butthead
Bone Farm
Pie In The Sky
Tequila

meandaddy60…Thanks for fixing this one for us!
No problem, glad I can contribute. Dennis is doing a new thing called New Directions (nude erections) in Grand Junction, CO. A two man semi-acoustic set up that does old metal.
You gotta love this disc, every time I listen to it, it winds up on the phonograph for a good couple of days.
Underrated record. There is a good quality live 7″ on HeartFirst that has better sound than this EP. It’s long gone of course. Also one song (their best) on the first HF comp. 7″.
florian, have you put the HF comp up on 7inchpunk yet? you should if not! –patrick
Thanks for reposting this meandaddy60.
Great band, great memories of their live shows too.
ahh pure gold to the denver hardcore kids. thanx for posting this ripper!!
this is pure intense hardcore…shit hot
Thanks for posting this, I’ve been looking for this for ages! Not only am I a fan, but Patrick is my cousin (mother’s side).
I can still remember the first time I saw their show. It was the first time I ever moshed. I wish I could find my old t-shirt. I wore it to Mexico once and someone thought I was Cuban (because of the word ‘EXPATRIATE’ in big letters with a peace sign on the front.
Still hot after all these years!
Hey guys, I just finished making a MySpace fan page for Expatriate. I found a box of 7′ left over from my days putting on punk shows here in Santa Fe. I had to borrow a record player (hadn’t heard Expatriate in a while). I can’t believe how much I loved/love this band. I just found this site and want to get permition to keep the MySpace page up. If you want me to take it down I’ll understand and just link to this site. I’ve been looking for a cover of “our lips are sealed” that Expatriate did (90% sure it was them) if anyone can help?
