Subhumans - Demolition War (Spider Leg Records) 1981
The band released a demo in 1981 which was heard by members of the band Flux of Pink Indians after being sent to them by Graham Burnett of New Crimes fanzine, who were so impressed that they offered the Subhumans a chance to put out a record on their newly formed Spiderleg label.
Great single with a great gatefold sleeve with a folded binding, which is pretty rare to see. Subhumans where one of the greats and I have always had them high up on my top 10 list.

Great posting. Animal is probably one of my favorite songs eva, that bass line is a killer! Always liked them from when i first heard them in 1985. Got my mother to buy me The
Day The Country Died whilst i was at work, remember coming home and being shocked at Dick Lucas appearance ! Had heard songs like “No” and kinda of always imagined him to be mean looking (that voice sounded mean at least) but he looked/looks like a sodding hippie/Student!! :)
Thanks for this one, still love the Subhumans. Got arrested the night before they played in Chicago in ‘86 and had to wait almost 20 years until they came back. Still played an incredible show though…
